The House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into United States Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. Committee Chair Rep. Carolyn Maloney is also urging the Board of Governors of the U.S. Postal Service to immediately suspend DeJoy stating, “they never should have hired him in the first place.”
DeJoy is under fire after he was exposed by seven former employees for unlawfully reimbursing them for political contributions to Republicans by using company bonuses. Employees state they were pressured by DeJoy.
DeJoy has reportedly been running this illegal scam since 2003.
Maloney states that if these allegations are true, DeJoy will face “criminal exposure” for campaign finance violations and for lying to Congress about it. DeJoy has allegedly been caught lying after he testifying before Congress says he did NOT reimburse his employees.
DeJoy was reportedly running a “Straw-donor Scheme” which violates campaign federal and state campaign finance laws. These laws prohibit individuals or companies from getting around contribution limits by repaying others to donate on their behalf.
Secret Communications
Rep. Gerry Connolly has demanded that DeJoy turn over all communications with “any individuals associated in any way” with Trump’s campaign. In addition, Connolly requested a complete list of all of the Trump campaign officials he (DeJoy) has been in communication with. He has given DeJoy until next week to turn these communications over to the House Sub-committee.
Rep. Gerry Connelly Tweeted, “Postmaster General DeJoy told the Senate, under oath, that he has had no contact with the Trump campaign. I asked him the same question today, and got him to admit that he DID in fact have that contact. He has lied to the public and, now, to Congress. He's got to go.”
@MSNBC posted, “House subcmte. requests records of ‘secret communications’ between Postmaster General DeJoy and the Trump campaign, following report alleging DeJoy of reimbursing employees at former company for campaign contributions made to his preferred politicians.”
North Carolina AG Stein Has DeJoy In His Sights
On Tuesday, North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein stated that an investigation is warranted. While speaking on MSNBC he stated, “The idea that somebody would make a contribution and then be reimbursed by corporation or individual that’s a straw donor, that would be a violation of the law.”
Stein continued, “And clearly, any credible allegations along those lines need to be investigated to determine whether the law was violated.”
North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis Took Dirty Money
North Carolina Republican Senator Tillis was the beneficiary of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Americans are calling on him to resign.
Democrat Cal Cunningham is challenging incumbent Tillis in one of the most interesting Senate races.
Cunningham is a hero and veteran who volunteered to serve our military after the September 11th attacks.
The Back Story On DeJoy
According to Sunday’s Washington Post report, DeJoy pressured his employees of his former business, New Breed Logistics, to donate to Republican candidates. Then, he would reimburse their contributions later using company bonuses. Often the bonuses exceeded the amount donated. Seven of DeJoy’s former employees have come forward.
It is being widely states that DeJoy’s rise in the GOP was fueled by these “donations“ from his company's workers.
Fun Fact: DeJoy donated heavily to Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, inauguration and then also held a fundraiser for him in 2017.
DeJoy Helping Trump Cheat?
DeJoy has also allegedly been caught slowing down the mail to make absentee voting harder for Americans. In the process, he has harmed many Americans —including our veterans— who receive their prescriptions through the mail.
DeJoy’s actions have also delayed American’s Social Security and payroll checks.

Oh No! Trump Can’t Pardon State Charges
It appears that North Carolina’s AG Stein will be holding DeJoy accountable for breaking the law.
Trump cannot pardon DeJoy from North Carolina state charges.
Terrible News For Trump
DeJoy’s scam is terrible news for the Trump campaign—especially in North Carolina. The latest Monmouth University poll released on Thursday, already showed Biden with a 2-point advantage over Trump in this battleground state.
These revelations about Trump toady DeJoy won’t help Trump with undecided voters.
