Trump campaign admitted that two more staffers had tested positive for coronavirus. This is in addition to the six staffers in Tulsa to tested positive last week. This brought the total to eight staffers.
Additionally there were also reports Saturday of two Secret Service agents who also testing positive.
Now it’s being widely reported that dozens of Secret Service officers and agents—all who were in attendance for Trump’s Tulsa rally last week—were ordered to self-quarantine for 14 days.
This is the sad fallout from Trump’s insistence on holding his rally over the objections of public health officials and medical experts.
Moreover, Trump made his own supporters, who wanted to attend his Tulsa rally, sign a contract agreeing that they wouldn’t sue the Trump campaign if they caught the coronavirus.
Despite knowing prior to his rally that he had six staffers who tested positive for coronavirus, Trump didn’t require anyone to take the simple precaution of wearing a mask. Leaving many Americans to wonder if he cares about his own supporters.
On stage, Trump bragged that he reduced coronavirus testing so he could artificially lower the number of people testing positive in the United States.
Americans were shocked to learn that Trump is withholding access to test kits from regular working folks.
On Wednesday, Tulsa’s top health official said the number of confirmed cases rose 92% in the week leading up to the rally. Hospitalizations rose 133% among people ages 18 to 35-years-old.
The Tulsa Health Department is recommending that everyone who attended the rally or participated in the demonstrations against the rally get tested for coronavirus. Hopefully, people will be granted access to test kits.
Trump’s rally was supposed to show Americans that all was well.
Instead, Americans learned that Trump is purposely withholding coronavirus test kits from them so he can manipulate the number of people who test positive.
Americans also learned that Trump refuses to protect others—even those who put their lives on the line to protect him.
