Update 06/30/2021
United States Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is under investigation by the FBI for allegedly violating campaign contribution laws. Investigators have reportedly been questioning DeJoy’s former employees. The FBI has neither confirmed nor denied the investigation.
Prosecutors have also issued a subpoena to DeJoy.
The Sizzle Report reported last year that DeJoy’s former employees stated they were pressured to donate to Republican candidates and then reimbursed. This is a straw donor scheme, and it is a felony.
Straw Donor Scheme
DeJoy reportedly pressured employees, while he was CEO of New Breed Logistics, to donate to Republican candidates. Then, he would reimburse their contributions using business “bonuses.” DeJoy also donated around $1.1 million dollars of his own money to the Trump campaign and the GOP.
It is believed that DeJoy’s rise in the GOP was fueled by his illegal donations.
Slowing Down the Mail
DeJoy has been steeped in controversy after being accused of slowing down the mail during the 2020 elections to make absentee voting harder to aid Donald Trump and other Republicans. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, mail-in ballots were a lifeline to many voters.
After becoming postmaster general, DeJoy cut overtime for mail carriers and removed mail-sorting machines.
Meanwhile, Ron Bloom and five other board members stood by silently as DeJoy allegedly interfered in our election. Was he helping Donald Trump?
They should all be out be fired along with DeJoy. Under law, they can all be dismissed for “grave dereliction of duty.”
If it is proved that DeJoy used the United States Postal Service to tamper with the 2020 election — this would be a second felony.
DeJoy denies any wrongdoing.
