Hot Tea on why Steve Bannon and Roger Stone Despise Each Other
Did Bannon rat out Stone in federal court in 2019?
Roger Stone appears to be gunning for Steve Bannon. Why? Because Bannon ratted out Stone in federal court in 2019.
Patriot Takes @PatriotTakes Tweeted this screenshot of Stone comments about Bannon:
Stone smacks down Bannon, calling him “a fat, ugly, inarticulate poorly groomed alcoholic with delusions.” Stone also appears to be citing the Palmer Report.
So What’s Going On?
Stone is allegedly furious that Bannon flipped on him in 2019.
Bannon reportedly told the Feds that Stone was the link between the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks.
Fun Fact: Bannon threw Stone under the bus and then backed over him.
Bannon reportedly told Feds that Stone, “implied that he had a connection with WikiLeaks.”
Bannon Was Arrested and Indicted
In 2020, Bannon was arrested after being indicted on federal charges.
Bannon was indicted for using hundreds of thousands of dollars from the “We Build The Wall” fundraiser to cover his personal expenses, including a yacht.
Bannon, Brian Kolfage, Andrew Badolato, and Timothy Shea were all charged.
Acting SDNY U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss stated, “As alleged, the defendants defrauded hundreds of thousands of donors, capitalizing on their interest in funding a border wall to raise millions of dollars, under the false pretense that all of that money would be spent on construction.”
Strauss continued regarding Bannon, “While repeatedly assuring donors that Brian Kolfage, the founder and public face of We Build the Wall, would not be paid a cent, the defendants secretly schemed to pass hundreds of thousands of dollars to Kolfage, which he used to fund his lavish lifestyle.”
Trump Pardoned Bannon and Stone
Trump pardoned Bannon in his final hours as President. The pardon was granted as part of a long list of clemency actions that benefited more than 140 Trump cronies.
Stone was asked why Trump gave Bannon a pardon, Stone reportedly stated, “I think he was blackmailed, that’s what I think.”
Stone Was Convicted
Stone was also pardoned by Trump after being indicted and convicted on charges of lying to Congress about what he and then-candidate Trump knew about Russian efforts to discredit Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential campaign.
Stone was also charged with witness tampering and obstruction. These charges included Stone acting as an intermediary between…you guessed it: The Trump campaign and WikiLeaks.
Stone is a known dirty trickster who is reportedly under investigation for his role in planning the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
Stone denies any involvement. Learn more about Stone and the insurrection here:
