How To Get Out The Vote While Protecting Your Health!
Here are some great ways you can help get out the vote and vote yourself while remaining healthy and safe.
During a normal election year, most campaigns are sending out large numbers of organizers and volunteers to neighborhoods, churches, grocery stores and malls.
As the Coronavirus pandemic spreads, many organizers and volunteers are also concerned about protecting their health.
Here are some great ways you can help get out the vote while remaining healthy and safe:
Phone calls and texting is a great way to connect with voters. For example, Joe Biden’s campaign provides training on how to do this effectively.
Promote your candidates using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Youtube and Tik Tok. Post information on your favorite and share their posts with everyone.
Adopt a candidate or two. For example, I share a Joe Biden post on Twitter every day. I also adopted some terrific senators that I promote weekly on social media.
Let people know that in many states they can get an Absentee Ballot. In some states voters may just need to provide a reason such as, “I will be on vacation.”
Let people know that online voter registration takes 2 minutes at Vote.org - I provide this link regularly on social media.
Volunteer for a campaign. I am part of the Joe Biden campaign and you can be also by going to JoeBiden.com and signing up. It’s a lot of fun.
Donate money. Democratic campaigns need grassroots support from people like you. Trump has a massive war chest and he’s shown that he will lie to win. Biden needs money to combat Trump’s disinformation campaign a.k.a. lies.
Join an online Democratic Activist Group and connect with like-minded people. It’s a great way to make new friends while making America work for regular folks and not just the rich and elite.
