QAnon is made up of a series of bizarre right-wing conspiracy theories that detail a secret state plot against Donald Trump. These theories have been pushed heavily on social media since 2016 by Putin-backed troll bots, leading many to speculate that QAnon theories are nothing more than Putin propaganda designed to divide Americans.
Now Pat Robertson is contributing to this with his bizarre “end of days” nonsense.
Putin/Trump troll bots worked overtime to sow discord among Americans using QAnon beginning in 2016. If Putin didn’t create the QAnon theories, he most certainly used them effectively to divide Americans.
QAnon believers have been indoctrinated to believe that the “deep state” is against Trump and all his supporters. Propaganda uses fear to scare people into choosing sides. By telling people that the “deep state” was against them, the QAnon believers became afraid.
QAnon zealots think that a deep state cabal of global pedophile elites is responsible for all the evil in the world. Moreover, they view these same elites as wanting to destroy Trump who they see as their savior. They see Trump as their only hope of defeating the deep state.
Putin and Trump continue to use and exploit QAnon conspiracy theories to their advantage in 2020 using the coronavirus pandemic.
What Is The Storm?
QAnon predicts an event called “The Storm.” This is when Trump will supposedly reveal a mass arrest and possible a mass execution of Washington figures responsible for sex trafficking children.
QAnon tells its’ believers that Trump just pretended to collude with Russia so that Robert Mueller and Trump could expose the elite sex trafficking ring.
QAnon predicted that Trump was going to stop a coup which would be led by George Soros, Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama.
This type of propaganda uses fear to force people to choose sides. Most people want to be on the winning side.
How Did QAnon Start?
QAnon stemmed from the nonsense Pizzagate conspiracy theory. Believers of Pizzagate thought that Hillary Clinton was secretly running a sex trafficking ring out of a pizza restaurant in Washington, D.C. This ended with a crazed gunman showing up at the restaurant with an assault rifle which he shot into a closet.
Trump and His Three Oldest Children Support QAnon?
Trump and his family appear to support the QAnon conspiracy theorists. Remember when Trump famously referred to himself as “The Chosen One” in 2019?
Trump’s game is to deliberately retweet a QAnon account. Then, the Q fanatics interpret his post as a confirmation of their delusion. When asked about the retweet, Trump denies understanding the post or claims he wasn’t the one who wrote it. Meanwhile, the Q believers see it as a secret sign for them.
Recall that on June 20 of this year, Eric Trump posted a QAnon meme on his Instagram account just before Trump’s poorly attended Tulsa rally. After allowing the Q zealots to get screenshots, he deleted the post and feigned ignorance.
Most Of Q’s Predictions Have Not Come True
Despite the fact that most of Q’s predictions have not come true, QAnon followers have rationalized that the reason is that Q has a bigger plan. A plan they can’t understand yet.
Meanwhile, they are busy stockpiling weapons and freeze dried foods in preparation for the upcoming battle that Trump is going to wage.
The FBI has labeled QAnon as a potential terrorist organization.
Some Popular Q Beliefs
Seth Rich — a Democratic National Committee Staffer — was killed by gang members hired by Democratic leaders because he was the source of the Wikileaks email dump.
The Rothchild family orchestrated Princess Diana’s death.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is really Adolf Hitler’s granddaughter.
The liberal elite cabal harvest adrenal glands from children and then sacrifice the children to a satanic god named Moloch.
Trump has secretly arrested child molesters spiritually—not physically—but spiritually, as in a different dimension.
Coronavirus is fake and it’s a deep state plot to ruin Trump’s chances in the 2020 election by preventing him from holding his rallies.
The QAnon belief that coronavirus is fake helps to explain the anti-masker trend.
QAnon fanatics post using the hashtag #WWG1WGA which stands for "Where We Go One, We Go All.”
Their mantra is “Trust the plan.” The plan is that Trump is the leader who will bring America closer to what they desire: An All white Christian America. QAnon beliefs are rooted in racism and anti-Semitism—remember that making one group of people believe they are superior to another group is a typical propaganda technique. Hitler used this propaganda technique to murder Jewish people.
Since 2016, Putin-back troll bots used the word "Pizzagate” and the hashtag #Pedogate to encourage Trump supporters to believe that Democrats were secretly involved in the sex trafficking of children. Sadly, these conspiracy theories have spread from Putin-backed bots to real Americans.
Understanding Propaganda
Propaganda uses an emotional appeal—often fear—inviting people to accept a particular belief or opinion.
It uses name calling to connect a person to a negative idea or symbol. For example, Putin-backed bots worked overtime to connect Hillary Clinton to sex trafficking. This is why QAnon followers were adamant that Clinton was behind the death of Jeffery Epstein even though she had no access to Epstein.
Propaganda uses glittering generalities to link an idea to a positive symbol. In the case of QAnon, Putin-backed bots used the word “patriot” to link racism and anti-Semitism to being an American patriot.
The biggest danger of Putin-backed QAnon propaganda is that it is working to destroy America’s shared beliefs, shared truths and even our shared reality.
Be Ready For Trump and Giuliani Lies
Watch for Trump supporters like Rudy Giuliani to possibly gin up fake pedophile nonsense against Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden in an effort to trigger QAnon zealots into believing Putin’s lies.
Giuliani already tried and failed to use this nonsense against Hunter Biden.
This may be why Trump refuses to disavow QAnon. This also may explain why Trump keeps going after Hillary Clinton during his rallies.
