Lauren Boebert, Barry Loudermilk, 1776, and Capitol Tours
Rep. Barry Loudermilk has been caught on video giving a Capitol tour one day before the January 6 insurrection.
Updated June 15, 2022
Last year, Rep. Steve Cohen stated to CNN that he and another colleague saw Rep. Lauren Boebert giving a tour of the Capitol during the days leading up to the January 6 Donald Trump terrorist attack.
This claim has never been retracted and it’s significant in light of learning that Rep. Barry Loudermilk gave a possible reconnaissance tour to insurrectionists on January 5, 2021, just one day before the January 6 insurrection. Loudermilk also previously denied giving tours of the Capitol prior to being outed on security footage.
Will Congress vote to expel Loudermilk?
Boebert has denied giving a tour of the Capitol. Loudermilk is still denying giving a tour to insurrectionists. However, footage surfaced showing that at least one of the people he gave a tour to joined the January 6 attack. Also, why were people on his tour taking photographs of obscure places like staircases and hallways?
Fun Fact: Due to Covid, the Capitol had been closed to tours since March of 2020 so no one should’ve been giving a tour.
Today is 1776 and Lauren Boebert
On January 5 Boebert tweeted, “Remember these next 48 hours. These are some of the most important days in American history.”
Clearly, Bobert knew that something important was going down.
Boebert also Tweeted out some additional shady posts during the January 6 attack.
She Tweeted, “The Speaker has been removed from the chambers.”
Many are still asking why Rep. Lauren Boebert was Tweeting out House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s location during the attack. She was explicitly told NOT to do this by Capitol Police.
Boebert also Tweeted out the morning of the attack, “Today is 1776.”
Fun Fact: Boebert's communications director resigned on January 16, 2021 reportedly in response to the events on January 6. Has he been interviewed by the DOJ?
Boebert’s Twitter posts before and during the attack warrant further investigation. Loudermilk‘s actions also warrant further investigation by authorities.
