Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene claims she is sorry for comparing the House of Representative mask mandate with horrors of the Holocaust.
Is she sorry?
Her apology is conveniently timed after Joel Rubin, executive director of the American Jewish Congress, called on Greene to be expelled from Congress.
She waited more than three weeks to apologize after first making her anti-Semitic pronouncement on a conservative podcast, where she compared mask mandates to “a time and history where people were told to wear a gold star.”
She did not stop there. She stated that wearing a mask was like people being “put in trains and taken to gas chambers in Nazi Germany. This is exactly the type of abuse that Nancy Pelosi is talking about.”
Now, after calls for her expulsion from Congress by the ED of American Jewish Congress, she is conveniently sorry and claims that it was a visit to the Holocaust Museum that changed her mind.
Greene stated, “I’m truly sorry for offending people with remarks about the Holocaust. There is no comparison and there never ever will be.”
During a period in history when women are working to shatter the glass ceiling, Greene is an embarrassment to women everywhere. She is constantly seeking attention, makes insane remarks, and then fundraises off of the bad press by playing the victim card to her base.
Recently, she sent a letter to President Joe Biden demanding answers on COVID-19 by June 31, 2021.
On June 4 she Tweeted, “Today, I sent this letter to Joe Biden to demand an immediate investigation into Anthony Fauci’s lies and his potential involvement in the cover up of the origins of the China virus. The American people deserve answers on the Wuhan lab & Fauci deserves to be held accountable!”
June only has 30 days so June 31, 2021, does not exist.
Fun Fact: The conspiracy theories Greene espouses are rooted in racism, anti-Semitism, and misogyny. They are a gateway to lies that are reminiscent of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime.
The Washington Post compared Greene to Cruella writing, “Comparing mask mandates to the horrors of the Holocaust, as has been Greene’s wont, is undeniably disgusting — and totally in keeping with the sentiment in her movement that even the smallest accommodation of others is an unconscionable attack on personal liberty.”
Over the past year and a half, Greene has promoted a caucus for “Anglo-Saxon” values, proposed deranged conspiracy theories about Jewish space lasers, voted to overturn Joe Biden’s election win and was stripped of her committee assignments after denying the Sandy Hook massacre.
She is a national disgrace who has a history of making racist, anti-Semitic remarks. Although it is tempting to laugh off her deranged remarks, there is nothing funny about who Greene is and what she stands for.
The fact that some Americans also believe her QAnon nonsense should be deeply disturbing to everyone.
