Donald Trump has been acting strangely since he contracted coronavirus, leaving some Americans to wonder if the infection has altered his thinking. Others have wondered if the steroids are causing “roid rage.”
On Thursday, Trump demanded that AG Bill Barr indict President Barak Obama and VP Joe Biden for “crimes” before our November 3rd elections. Trump is enraged because he’s losing the election by a landslide.
Despot Wannabe
In an insane meltdown Trump said, “Unless Bill Barr indicts these people for crimes, the greatest political crime in the history of our country, then we’re going to get little satisfaction unless I win because I won’t forget it, but these people should be indicted.”
Trump’s meltdown continued, “This is the greatest political crime in the history of our country, and that includes Obama, and that includes Biden. These are people that spied on my campaign and we have everything. Now they say they have much more, okay? And I say, Bill, we’ve got plenty. You don’t need any more.”
Trump’s a wannabe despot who thinks he can use the White House to prosecute his political enemies, but Pelosi is not having it. In response to Trump’s tantrum, Pelosi spoke out on Thursday.
Like A Boss
Pelosi stated, “When we hear people saying, I'm young and I'm a perfect specimen instead of addressing the fact that 50,000 were infected yesterday — What are we talking about here? Tomorrow, by the way, tomorrow, come here tomorrow. We're going to be talking about the 25th Amendment.”
When a reporter asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi if she planned to invoke the 25th Amendment, Pelosi stated that she wasn’t going to discuss it at that moment.
Pelosi stated, “If you want to talk about that, we’ll see you tomorrow.”
What Is The 25th Amendment?
The 25th Amendment is a procedure that transfers power to the Vice President in the case of incapacitation, removal, resignation or death. One of the sections provides the vice president and the Cabinet a mechanism to transfer power from the president to the vice president.
Section 1
In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.
Section 2
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
Section 3
Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.
Section 4
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.
Pelosi Elaborated On Trump
Pelosi appeared on Bloomberg on Thursday and elaborated, “The president is, shall we say, in an altered state right now — I don’t know how to answer for that behavior.”
Pelosi continued, “There are those who say when you are on steroids or have Covid-19, there may be some impairment of judgment.”
Many Americans have expressed anxiety about having an impaired Trump wandering around the White House with the nuclear codes. Republicans have failed to act to protect America, so Pelosi is stepping up. Although Pelosi doesn’t have the authority to remove Trump by herself, she definitely has something up her sleeve.
