Protect the USPS by Firing DeJoy
This deal looks like a potential criminal violation by DeJoy covered under 18 U.S. Code Chapter 11 - BRIBERY, GRAFT, AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST.
United States Postmaster General Louis DeJoy wants to implement a new plan that would increase expected delivery times for much first-class mail. Slowing down the mail will hurt Seniors.
This move by DeJoy is raising opposition from many Americans.
Moreover, twenty-one attorneys general are urging the Postal Regulatory Commission to block DeJoy’s proposed changes.
Corruption
On Friday, The Washington Post reported that the U.S.P.S. will pay out “$120 million over the next five years to a major logistics contractor that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy previously helped lead and with which his family maintains financial ties, according to DeJoy’s financial disclosure statements and a federal contracting database.”
If DeJoy helped negotiate this contract, he has committed a felony.

Under FBI Investigation
DeJoy is also under investigation by the FBI for allegedly violating campaign contribution laws. Investigators have reportedly questioned DeJoy’s former employees. The FBI has neither confirmed nor denied the investigation.
The Sizzle Report reported last year that DeJoy’s former employees stated they were pressured to donate to Republican candidates and then reimbursed. This is a straw donor scheme, and it is a felony.
Straw Donor Schemes
DeJoy reportedly pressured employees, while he was CEO of New Breed Logistics, to donate to Republican candidates. Then, he would reimburse their contributions using business “bonuses.”
DeJoy also donated around $1.1 million dollars of his own money to the Trump campaign and the GOP.
It is believed that DeJoy’s rise in the GOP was fueled by these illegal donations.
Election Interference
DeJoy has been steeped in controversy after being accused of slowing down the mail during the 2020 elections to make absentee voting harder to aid Donald Trump and other Republicans. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, mail-in ballots were a lifeline for many voters.
DeJoy denies any wrongdoing.
