Roger Stone, the Willard Hotel & Oath Keepers
Roger Stone has still not been indicted for his alleged role in the January 6 attack on America’s Capitol.
Let’s examine Roger Stone’s movements leading up to the January 6, 2021 attack on America’s Capitol.
On December 23, 2020, the then-President Donald Trump pardoned Stone.
Recall that Stone had been indicted and found guilty on “one count of obstruction, five counts of false statements, and one count of witness tampering.”
On December 25, 2020 Ali Alexander, the “Stop the Steal” organizer posts, “This is something Roger and I have been planning for a long time. And finally, he’s off the leash. So, you know, it’s a knife fight and your two knife fighters are Ali Alexander and Roger Stone, and you either fight with us or you get slashed. So, I’ll let you guys know more about what that means as we evolve.”
On December 29, 2020 just 6 days after being pardoned, Stone posts on Parler (photo via @PatriotTakes) that he met with Trump to discuss how to steal Joe Biden’s 2020 election win.
Here is Stone’s post from Parler:
On the afternoon of January 5, 2021 Stone spoke at the “One Nation Under God Prayer Rally” in front of the Supreme Court. Stone talks about “a fight for the future of western civilization as we know it” and made a promise to be with the rioters on January 6 “shoulder to shoulder.” This is a promise Stone, like Trump, will not keep. Other speakers included Alex Jones and Gen. Michael Flynn.
On the evening of January 5, 2021 Stone speaks a second time at the “Rally to Save America.”
Stone rants about an epic struggle between “dark and light, between the godly and the godless, between good and evil.” He continues saying, “we will win this fight or America will step off into a thousand years of darkness.” Stone concludes by thanking the “Stop the Steal” organizer Ali Alexander.
For a second time, Stone promises the rioters that he will be with them the next day “shoulder to shoulder.”
This is another lie. Stone manipulated the rioters into doing his dirty work while he stayed back at the Willard Hotel.
Fun Fact: Stone used members of the Oath Keepers for security before than January 6 attack, and has ties to the Proud Boys going back years.
On January 6, 2021 Roger Stone was photographed outside the Willard Hotel with Oath Keepers. The Willard is believed to be a Trump “command center.”
The Willard was just one extension of Trump’s coup attempt. A second “war room” was established at the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C.
On January 15, 2021, a documentary film crew recording Stone showed Stone using an encrypted messaging app on his phone to communicate with Stewart Rhodes (Leader of the Oath Keepers Militia) and Enrique Tarrio (one time chairman of the Proud Boys).
According to the New York Times, at least “one of Mr. Stone’s Oath Keeper bodyguards, Joshua James, pleaded guilty to seditious conspiracy charges in the Capitol attack and is cooperating with the government’s inquiry.”
Five Proud Boy members, including Tarrio, were charged with seditious conspiracy for their roles in the January 6 attack.
In December of 2021, Stone refused to be deposed or to hand over documents to the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
In a letter, which Stone provided to NBC News, he invokes his Fifth Amendment right not to testify.
However in December 2021, Stone did finally appear to testify before the House committee. Stone repeatedly invoked his fifth amendment right against self incrimination.
Stone Still Fomenting Sedition
Last Saturday, Stone appeared with Eric Trump and MyPillow guy Mike Lindell. Stone bragged, “I am living proof that Jesus Christ can do anything.”
Stone has yet to face indictments for his alleged role in inciting the January 6 attack. Stone denies being involved.
Now that the January 6 committee hearings are underway, this could change. Will Stone finally be indicted by the Department
