On Tuesday, esteemed writer E. Jean Carroll scored a victory against Donald Trump and AG Bill Barr.
U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled that Trump “is not an employee of the Government” as defined by Congress. Therefore, the Department of Justice will not be allowed to argue Trump’s defamation suit on behalf of Trump at the taxpayers expense.
25 Victims
Trump stands accused of sexual violence by more than 25 victims, including 13-year-old Katie Johnson.
Barr and Trump Fought To Have Taxpayers To Foot His Legal Bills
Barr and Trump failed in their bid to have American taxpayers foot the bill to defend Trump against defamation.
Trump, who paid a paltry $750 dollars in income tax, thought he was entitled to have Americans pay his personal legal bills.
Carroll filed a defamation lawsuit against Trump after Trump called Carroll a liar when she came forward with credible rape allegations.
DNA Evidence
Carroll reportedly has the dress that she was raped in. Her dress allegedly contains DNA evidence to back up her rape allegations against Trump.
The court’s decision allows Carroll to continue to sue Trump personally for defamation. Carroll maintains she is telling the truth.
Fun Fact: Trump stands accused of rape and sexual violence by at least 25 victims.
Carroll’s Rape Charge
Carroll states that Trump raped her in a luxury department store dressing room in New York.
Why Not Prove It?
Carroll, who still has the dress that Trump allegedly raped her in, has requested that Trump provide a DNA sample to test against genetic material on her dress.
Trump has refused to provide his DNA.
Trump could settle the matter quickly by doing a simple cheek swab, but he has done everything he can to avoid providing his DNA.
Roberta Kaplan — Carroll’s attorney —said in court papers, "Mr. Trump, for his part, has done everything he can to stop the truth from ever coming out.”
