Can You Help Find 5-Year-Old Summer Wells?
Can you help find Summer? Summer’s parents say she was kidnapped from their home in Hawkins County, Tennessee.
Summer Wells 2021
Five-year-old Summer Moon-Utah Wells was reported missing by her parents on June 15, 2021.
Candus Bly, the mother of Summer, was the last adult to see Summer before she was reported missing. Summer’s parents say she was kidnapped from their home in Hawkins County, Tennessee.
Bly says that on June 15, Summer was planting flowers with Bly’s mother and herself outside their home. Bly says Summer then went inside to play with her three brothers. By the time Bly went inside, she says Summer disappeared.
Don Wells, Summer’s father, stated to reporters that Summer was taken from their basement. The basement is a walkout basement with a door leading outside.
June 15 Events Leading Up to Disappearance
Bly claims she took her mother to the emergency room at 8:00am for knee pain. Bly says she took her mother to the hospital, left her there, and went with Summer to pick up a friend’s home to pick up her friend’s 15-year-old son.
Because the son is a minor, we will refer to him as Teen H.
Bly says regarding Teen H, “They invited me over to sit at their house while I waited for my mom.”
Teen H reportedly planned to go fishing with Bly and Summer. Then, Bly received a call that Bly’s mother was ready to be picked up from the emergency room. Bly, Teen H, and Summer drove together to the hospital to pick up Bly’s mother.
Bly stated, “I went and picked her up, and then we drove all the way across town and dropped her prescription off. They said it’d be about 30 minutes at the most.”
Bly continued, “So, we were like, well instead of sitting here in the car where it’s hot… it was baking hot…we’ll just go to Warrior’s and let Summer swim for a little while. Like I said, we weren’t even planning on going swimming or fishing or anything.”
Note: This contradicts Teen H’s account of plans to go fishing.

Warrior’s Path State Park is located in Sullivan County, Tennessee.
Bly shot and posted a Tik Tok video of Summer and Teen H splashing around in the river.
Bly said, “I figured 15 or 20 minutes in the water, you know, run a little bit of energy out instead of sitting in the truck.”
Teen H Claims Bly Gave Him Alcohol
Teen H spoke out in an interview with “The Interview Room” on YouTube, claiming Bly gave him a Twisted Tea alcohol beverage at the park.
On Tuesday, Bly appeared on “The Interview Room” and denied this, stating she bought the Twisted Tea for her mother — not Teen H.
Wells’ Remaining Children Removed
This month, Donald Wells who is Summer’s father, confirmed that Summer’s three brothers were removed by the Department of Children Services from the home he shares with Bly during an interview on the “Jay is 4 Justice” YouTube podcast.
Wells stated, “They come at me and said — either posing — said they had the inside scoop with TBI [Tennessee Bureau of Investigation] and that they knew I sold my daughter for drugs, and I flipped out. I flipped out.”
Wells claimed to the podcast host Jennifer Youngblood, “I believed that stuff. Like an idiot, I believed it and I flipped out, started drinking and everything else. And that’s why they took our kids.”
Don Wells’ Charges and Convictions
Wells was charged with attempted aggravated assault, interfering with a public servant, forgery, burglary of a dwelling and theft. Wells has been convicted in multiple states including Utah, Arkansas, Texas, and now he has also pled guilty in Tennessee, following a domestic violence incident at his home.
In October of 2020, police reports show Wells was arrested and charged with domestic assault, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and unlawful possession of a gun.
This following an alleged domestic violence incident with Bly.
Bly sought an order of protection from Wells and then dropped it a week later. Wells pled guilty to the possession of a gun while under the influence. The remaining charges were dismissed.
Summer’s Sabbath School Teacher Speaks Regarding Wells Social Media
Both Wells and Bly were posting regularly on social media, but decided to take a break last week, raising questions. Instead of posting on social media, they have started their own website for Summer. This way they have a place to post about Summer, while avoiding negativity.
Both attend a local Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Last Tuesday, Robin Lane, who is Summer’s Sabbath teacher, explained more about their website, “It’s the family’s official website that they can go to and put up any information they want to share. It is not something that people can comment on, so it’s kind of a relief from all of the negativity and backlash.”
This week, Don Wells has been posting his thoughts on Facebook and he spoke in depth to “The Interview Room.”
“True Crime Rocket Science” YouTube channel has also been covering the case closely.
