On Friday, Trump went to Sarasota, FL to hold another rally. This was his second rally since he left the White House in disgrace after inciting the January 6 attack on the Capitol and trying to steal President Joe Biden’s election win.
Rep. Matt Gaetz attended and bragged he was going to nominate Trump to be the next Speaker of the House. Gaetz played the victim in his ongoing scandal over allegations that he sex-trafficked underage girls.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis did not attend the rally. Pundits were suggesting that he was joining Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner in distancing himself from Trump.
