Should Trump Be Indicted For Lying To Americans About Coronavirus?

Donald Trump lied about the seriousness of coronavirus. He even called it a Democratic hoax. Senate Republicans have enabled Trump.
Moreover, Republicans have refused to vote for the Heroes Act — a stimulus package for Americans. Mitch McConnell refused to even put the Heroes Act to a vote on the Senate floor when the House passed it back in May.
Trump, as usual, has no plan to aid regular folks — He is busy golfing.
Meanwhile, another one million Americans filed for unemployment this month.
Many are asking if Trump should be indicted for his failure to act and for lying to Americans about the coronavirus pandemic.
Glenn Kirschner stated to The Daily Beast that Trump’s misleading Americans about coronavirus, “easily satisfies the three elements of either involuntary manslaughter or negligent homicide.”
How Many Died Because Of Trump?
205,000 Americans are dead. Many are dead because Trump has no national plan for overcoming the coronavirus pandemic. Worse still, Trump has repeatedly denied Americans access to test kits.
How Did We Get Here?
The U.S. House passed the largest relief package in U.S. history called the Heroes Act on May 16 of this year.
The Heroes Act package would have allotted money for your family:
Up to $6000 per household to Americans
Additional funding for state and local government
Hazard pay for essential workers
Funds for the U.S. Postal Service
$10 billion in assistance to small businesses who haven’t received money yet from the Paycheck Protection Program
Funds to honor heroes of this pandemic
Coronavirus testing and contact tracing
These details are according to the fact sheet released by the House Appropriations Committee.
Republicans Couldn’t Be Bothered To Vote
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senator Susan Collins, Senator Lindsey Graham and other Republican Senators refused to even consider voting on the Heroes Act relief package.
Moreover, Graham declared that the Heroes Act is "dead on arrival.” Graham claimed he is “sympathetic” to the idea that Americans may need additional help to recover but declined to vote for it.
McConnell stated his priority was to protect big businesses from lawsuits in his push back against the Heroes Act.
Doing Nothing For Regular Folks
With elections coming up in November, it’s shocking that Trump and GOP Senators have done nothing to help working folks. Instead, they have played party politics with your family’s ability to make ends meet. Most of the Cares Act stimulus money went to their cronies. The top 1% continue to get richer.
Trump Is All Talk And No Action
Trump publicly called for a payroll tax cut and tax deductions for dining and entertainment expenses. This would have nothing for regular folks. It would only benefits Americans who can are actually receiving pay, can afford to eat out and can travel.
Trump is all about taking care of his rich cronies.
Canada Has Leaders Who Care
Meanwhile, Canadians received $2000 a month in coronavirus assistance. They also had access to test kits. Contact tracings are in place and many lives have been saved.
In contrast, Americans have been denied stimulus relief, access to test kits and no contact tracings are being done to identify potential victims of coronavirus.
